Vintage Brass Candle Snuffing Scissors

These gorgeous vintage candle snuffing scissors are used to cut off and retain burnt out wicks and extinguish flames.  The little pointy tip is for retrieving wick that may have dropped in to the wax!  The general need for these is also to help reduce wax or soot being blown on to walls/furnishings etc too.

In ritual magick, candle snuffers are a important tool that represent the end of a spell or charm.  Some say that if you blow out a flame during a ritual, you may ‘blow away’ or disrupt the spell so it’s always best to SNUFF!
