Vintage 18ct Gold Diamond Celestial Gypsy Ring

The most beautiful 18ct solid gold gypsy ring you will ever lay your eyes on! This piece features a single sparkling diamond sitting flush on a starburst celestial band. It has some beautiful engraved shoulders that slowly melt in to a tapered shank of buttery 18ct gold. If you want a real special collectors piece, this is the vintage ring for you!

 This Victorian style design has a wonderful history dating back to the days of highwaymen, when Victorian upper classes would avoid having ostentatious ring designs and instead would set their diamonds and gemstones in thick bands of gold to conceal their true wealth incase they were set upon by bandits on the roads! Generally, the style was favourited by men because of their robust structure but they later became widely worn by women due to their timeless elegance.  This is also why the designs we see today will show crescent moons and stars carved into the gypsy rings, adding a touch of femininity!
